Sex ed for Chicago Public School students as young as 5

February 13, 2013 - The Chicago Public School (CPS) board is considering a new sex ed program and how it will be taught to children as young as kindergarten and first grade. But surely this is only a leftist Chicago thing, right? The CPS Chief Health Officer says the proposed changes come in response to new federal and local standards. That is right. The USA is funding this program that will include discussions on sexual orientation and gender identity for the first time. Our government is replacing the Church and we are helping fund it. Matthew 18:6-9. Time to stop being an accomplice to this sin.

How Many More Need to Die Before You Take Action?

January 22nd 2013 - We believe the 5-4 decision made by the Supreme Court of the USA, known as Roe v Wade, allowed 55 million defenseless babies to be killed in the past 40 years. Even Herod the Great did not have as much blood on his hands. The time has come where we can no longer patronize such immorality.

A Democrat Politician Who Didn't Want to Pay Taxes?

February 21st 2013 - The son of Rev. Jesse Jackson, Jesse Jackson Jr., and his wife confessed to misusing more than $750,000 in campaign funds for their personal benefit and in the process understated their income on tax returns. Very sad to see the African American community continue to be used by the left.

President Bill Clinton to Be Honored as 2013 "Father of the Year"

So much for the saying "To be a good father, you have to be a good husband." A wonderful example of what Friedrich Hayek wrote about in his book "The Road to Serfdom" on Chapter 10 entitled "Why the Worst Get on Top".

2013 Redistricting - Illinois/Chicago Style

And what was wrong with a square or rectangle? The time and money spent on such activities is shameful considering how it could have been spent on helping families in need.

Delayed Obedience is Disobedience

Chase Hilgenbrinck has what most guys in the USA want. Good looks and a profession as an athlete. But what he did, most guys in the USA don't even want to think about. He is becoming a Catholic priest.

"I felt called to something greater. At one time I thought that call might be professional soccer. In the past few years, I found my soul is hungry for something else. I discerned, through prayer, that it was calling me to the Catholic Church. It's not that I'm ready to leave soccer. I still have a great passion for the game. I wouldn't leave the game for just any other job. I'm moving on for the Lord. I want to do the will of the Lord, I want to do what he wants for me, not what I want to do for myself."

Although he has felt the calling for some time, Hilgenbrinck also knew it would be easier to continue playing soccer. He tried to convince himself that he was not ready, not deserving, or not in a hurry. "I was putting up a bunch of barriers, saying I'm not worthy to be called to something like that," he said. "But, one by one, the barriers started to come down." With a short window in which he will be able to play professional sports, he considered postponing the priesthood until after his career was over. But he decided with the same certainty that he could not allow himself to wait. "Trust me, I thought of that," said Hilgenbrinck, who in his studies came across the saying, "Delayed obedience is disobedience."

"We are all called to do something. I feel like my specific call is to the priesthood. So, no, it was not possible to continue with soccer. It's absolutely inevitable."

May God bless Chase and his impact on men in the USA.
